Counseling services offered by center

The Small Business Development Center of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau will offer free counseling sessions July 15 through July 17 for area small businesspeople and individuals planning to enter the business field. Counselor Gil Degenhardt will be available for the one-hour sessions from 9 to 11 a.m. July 15 at the Sikeston, Mo., Chamber of Commerce; 10 a.m. to noon July 17 at the Southeast Regional Planning Commission in Perryville, Mo., and 1 to 3 p.m. July 17 at the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce. Saint Francis to break ground for new facility

Saint Francis Medical Center will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Heart Hospital and Cancer Institute at 7 a.m. Wednesday. The 180,000-square-foot facility, estimated to cost $84 million, will be built adjacent to the current hospital at 2111 Saint Francis Drive.
