Meet over two dozen candidates ahead of the Missouri primary elections at the political mixer hosted by local chambers on July 23, 4-7 p.m., at Buckner-Ragsdale Event Center, Cape Girardeau.

The Cape Girardeau, Jackson and Scott City area chambers of commerce have teamed up to host a political candidate mixer ahead of the Missouri primary elections Tuesday, Aug. 6. The event will allow for members of the public to meet with the candidates and learn more about their campaigns.

It is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, at the Buckner-Ragsdale Event Center, 132 Main St. in Cape Girardeau. More than two dozen candidates running in federal, state and county races reserved space to attend. They are presented alphabetically as follows:

n Mita Biswas, a Democrat running for U.S. Senate.

n Jamie Burger, a Republican running for Missouri State Senate District 27.

n Laura Cassatt, a Republican running for Cape Girardeau County public administrator.

n Jamie Corley, a Republican running for Missouri secretary of state.

n J. Michael Davis, a Democrat running for Missouri House of Representatives District 147.

n Stephen Daume, a Republican running for Cape Girardeau County associate commissioner District 1.

n Chris Dinkins, a Republican running for Missouri State Senate District 27.

n David Dolan, a Republican running for Missouri House of Representatives District 148.

n Lucas Green, a Republican running for Missouri House of Representatives District 146.

n Matt Henson, a Republican running for Cape Girardeau County treasurer.

n Denny Hoskins, a Republican running for Missouri secretary of state.

n Barry Hovis, a Republican running for Missouri House of Representatives District 146.
