__PERRY COUNTY HOSPITAL RECOGNIZED AS CRITICAL ACCESS HOSPITAL__
PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Perry County Memorial Hospital was named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the country. PCMH is receiving this designation for the second consecutive year, according to a news release from the hospital. The Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals scored best among critical access hospitals on iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength Index overall. The rankings were recently announced by the National Rural Health Association. The Top 20 Critical Access Hospital “winners” achieved success in overall performance based on a composite rating from nine indices of strength: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, population risk, cost, charge, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives and financial stability. PCMH placed in the 91st percentile for quality, the 88th percentile for outcomes and the 79th percentile for patient perspectives. An awards ceremony will be held during NRHA’s Critical Access Hospital Conference in September in Kansas City, Missouri.
__SAINT FRANCIS ADDS ANESTHESIOLOGIST TO STAFF__
Saint Francis Healthcare System added anesthesiologist Dr. Jason A. Conway as a new Saint Francis Medical Partner. He joins 11 others at Cape Anesthesia Group in providing care to patients before, during and after surgery and offering continuous pain relief throughout surgical, obstetric or other medical procedures, according to a news release. Conway earned his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. He completed his anesthesiology residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and fulfilled a cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to general anesthesia, his clinical interests include cardiac anesthesia and transesophageal echocardiography.
__HASTINGS NAMED DIRECTOR OF REVENUE CYCLE__
MaryAnn C. Hastings joined SoutheastHEALTH as director of revenue cycle. She has 25 years of experience in revenue cycle management and has extensive experience in physician practice management, hospital financial services, financial analysis and strategic planning, according to a news release from Southeast. She previously served as interim director of revenue cycle at JM Ventures in Nashville, Tennessee.
__MAJOROS APPOINTED TREASURER OF COUNSELING CENTER BOARD__
Jacquelyn Majoros has been appointed treasurer of the Community Counseling Center governing board. Majoros, a financial consultant and certified financial planner for Wells Fargo Advisors LLC, joined the governing board in 2013 to serve on the finance committee. She replaces Jerry Jaegers, who served as treasurer from 2008 to 2015 and vice president from 2002 to 2008. Jaegers remains a member of the governing board, representing Ste. Genevieve County.
__CARRON JOINS SAINT FRANCIS AS PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN__
FARMINGTON, Mo. — Saint Francis Healthcare System added Dr. Danielle N. Carron, a family practice physician, as a new Saint Francis Medical Partner. Specializing in family medicine, she joins six other primary care physicians at Farmington Physician Associates. Carron earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine. She later completed her family medicine residency at Cox Family Medicine Residency in Springfield, Missouri. Her clinical interests include building healthy relationships with families and promoting their overall health and wellness through regular checkups, screenings, patient education and preventive care, and caring for kids.
__SOUTHEAST NAMES DIRECTOR OF PHYSICIAN SERVICES__
Mary Rothschild-Adams joined the staff of SoutheastHEALTH as director of physician services. She brings 17 years of experience in health-care management to her new position and comes to Southeast from Union County Hospital in Anna, Illinois, where she served as director of physician practice management and medical staff development and hospital property manager.
__HOSPITALIST MIINCH JOINS SAINT FRANCIS__
Saint Francis Healthcare System added hospitalist Dr. Stephen R. Miinch II as a new Saint Francis Medical Partner. He joins a team of 13 hospitalists who provide care to hospitalized patients at the medical center. Miinch earned his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas. His clinical interests include helping patients better understand and reach their health and wellness goals through nutrition and an active lifestyle, according to a news release.
__SULLIVAN NAMED STAR SERVICE TEAM MEMBER__
PARK HILLS, Mo. — Mike Sullivan was Star Service Team Member at Parkland Health Center for June. He has worked at Parkland for 41 years, including his years at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, which became one with Parkland last year. Sullivan currently serves as a shuttle driver.
