The Missouri Housing Development Commission is considering four proposals for tax-credit supported apartment construction for low-income residents in the area. The commission will hold a public hearing on the area proposals Tuesday in St. Louis.

  • The Delta Area Community Development Corporation's request for $44,095 in federal tax credits and $44,095 in state tax credits for the acquisition and rehabilitation of the Scott City II Apartments at 404 N. Lincoln Ave. in Scott City. The 12 one-bedroom apartments would be senior citizen housing with rent of $335 a month.
  • MACO Development Company LLC's request for $338,748 in federal tax credits and $338,748 in state tax credits for construction of a 34-unit senior housing apartment complex known as West Court Manor II on Brenda Kay Court in Cape Girardeau. Rent would be $390 a month for two-bedroom apartments.
  • MACO Development Company LLC's request for a low-interest, 30-year loan of $546,285 plus $327,497 in federal tax credits and $327,497 in state tax credits to construct Sycamore Village Apartments at Sycamore and West Joseph streets in Perryville. The financing would support construction of 36 two-bedroom apartments for senior citizens that would rent for $405 a month.
  • RCH Development Inc.'s request for $700,000 in federal tax credits and $700,000 in state tax credits to finance acquisition, rehabilitation and conversion of 45 one- and two-bedroom apartments to be known as Schultz Senior Housing at 101 S. Pacific St. in Cape Girardeau. Rents would range from $285 to $380 for one-bedroom units and $365 to $495 a month for two bedrooms.

The public hearing will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel. The commission will vote on which, if any, of the above projects are financed at its Dec. 21 meeting.
