BUSINESS PERSONNEL: RECORDS DIRECTOR NAMED

Lula C. Boshell has been named director of medical records at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Boshell attended Stephens College in Columbia and St. Louis Community colleges. In 1979, she received registration from the American Health Information Management Association as a Regional Health Information Technician.

She served as assistant director of medical records at Southeast from 1984 to 1988.

Prior to returning to Southeast, she worked as a coding consultant for the Chicago-based Care Communications and served 10 years as director of medical records at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, and as a medical coding instructor in the adult education program at Sikeston High School.,

She is a member and past president of the Southeast Missouri Medical Record Association, and is a member of the Missouri Health Information Management Association and the American Health Information Management Association.
