City inspections employees Mike Conrad and Rob Roberts have become certified code administrators after passing the Building Official and Code Administrator (BOCA) tests.

The new designation allows them to be recognized by other professionals in their field, said City Inspections Director Tarryl Booker.

Conrad is city plumbing and mechanical inspector and has been with the city five years. He passed BOCA testing in plumbing general, plumbing plan review, mechanical general and mechanical planning.

Roberts, who has been with the city five years and is code inspector for buildings, passed the BOCA testing and also the Council of American Building Officials (CABO) one- and two-family dwelling codes for building inspectors.
