Cathy McClard, nurse manager of Southeast Missouri Hospital's Intensive Care Unit, has received the Sigma Theta Tau award for nursing practice.

The award, which recognizes people with exemplary professional clinical practice, was presented during the annual meeting of the Lambda Theta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

McClard is a 1974 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with an associate degree in nursing. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the university in 1987.

McClard, a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International, Lambda Theta Chapter, joined Southeast Hospital in 1974.
