BUSINESS PERSONNEL: JOINS SALON

Carolyn Rouviere, former owner of Hair Biz, will be an "independent contractor" for Gary and Company Hair Designers, 1017 Harmony.

Rouviere, who has been involved in cosmetology since 1960s, will specialize in all phases of hair care, including men and women haircutting, styling, perming and color techniques. She also does manicures and pedicures.

Rouviere has served on the National Cosmetology of Missouri board 25 years and has served as state president and president of the board. A salon owner since 1962, she has held memberships and offices on the local and regional level, served as president of the regional association six years. She has been platform artist on education, performing hair shows in a half-dozen Midwest states, Canada and Puerto Rico. She has also been a member of Missouri Education Design Committee, serving as committee chair and as ladies style director.
