Christopher W. Mullins, a native of Cape Girardeau, has been named a full-time instructor in Belleville (Ill.) Area College's sociology department.
Mullins will teach introductory sociology, cultural anthropology and social problems.
Mullins has served as an adjunct instructor at the college the past four years. Before joining the Belleville school as a full-time instructor, Mullins also taught at St. Louis University, Maryville University, St. Charles Community College and McKendree College. He is a member of the American Sociological Association, Midwest Sociological Society, Illinois Sociological Association and the American Anthropology Association.
Mullins earned a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Southeast Missouri State University, a master's degree in English at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and a master's in sociology from SIU-Edwardsville.
