Bob Boland of Occupational Medical Services LLC has completed a four-week occupational medicine course at the University of Cincinnati.
The full scope of occupational medicine is covered in the course, including such topics as immunology, functional capacity evaluation, toxicology, rehabilitation/sports medicine and many other topics.
Boland came to Cape Girardeau from a primary care practice in Texas. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and holds national certification as a family nurse practitioner.
Occupational Medical Services is jointly owned by Jerry Reppert, business manager; Jim Litz, general manager; and Dr. Anthony C. Zoffuto, medical director.
Boland is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society in Nursing and Beta Kappa Chi national scientific honor society. He is a past member of the Palestine-Anderson County Red Cross board of directors and former chairman of the 8th District of the Florida Peace Officers Association.
