Richard Allgood has joined First National Bank as vice president and commercial lender in the Jackson and Cape Girardeau markets.

Allgood of Cape Girardeau has more than 31 years experience in the banking industry, including trust operations, investments, commercial and consumer lending development. He previously worked for First National Bank.

He is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, with a bachelor of science degree in business management. He also attended the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wis.

Three managers -- Diane Hepler, Jeannine Prost and Susan Lawrence -- have been named for the Alliance Blue Cross Blue Shield customer service center, scheduled to open at 471 Siemers Drive in Cape West Business Park Jan. 1.

Hepler has been named manager of claims and customers for BlueCHOICE, the health maintenance organization of Alliance Blue Cross Blue Shield. She has been with the company 17 years, most recently managing the company's Information Acquisition Department. She will move to Cape Girardeau.

Prost has been promoted to manager of custom accounts for the new center. She has been with the company six years as office manager in the sales and marketing office at Cape Girardeau.

Lawrence has been promoted to manager of group billing for the company's Alliance preferred provider organization and BlueCHOICE health maintenance organization programs. She has more than eight years of billing experience, most recently as a team leader in Alliance Group billing. She will move to Cape Girardeau. Her husband, Guy, also works for the company, in the claims department.

Diana "Dee" Seabaugh of Jackson has been named 1996 'Employee of the Year" at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Seabaugh is a respiratory therapist for the medical center's Respiratory Outreach Services (ROS) program. She was selected from a group of St. Francis employees who had been named "Employee of the Month" during the year.

Seabaugh has been at St. Francis since 1981, and has served in a variety of positions involving respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostics.

Millie Yates has joined Beauty Boutique, 2820 Jackson Blvd., Jackson, as a hair stylist.

Yates has more than 20 years experience in hair styling.

Dr. David Anderson, a Cape Girardeau neuroradiologist, has earned a certificate of additional qualification (CAQ) in neuroradiology from the American Board of Radiology.

CAQ is a recent testing program to certify physicians in radio-logic subspecialties and demonstrates that a radiologist has attained and demonstrated a certain level of competence in that subspecialty.

Anderson came to Cape Girardeau in 1995 from the University of Miami, where he completed a two-year neuroradiology fellowship. He received his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and served a radiology residency at the University of Miami. He is associated with the Cape Radiology Group, 36 Doctors' Park.

Jerry Schlegel has joined D Mart Homes, a manufactured home dealer, as a sales representative.

Schlegel has several years of sales experience. He was a Pepsi-Cola salesman seven years and owned his own retail store 24 years. He was then a salesman for Capetown R.V., selling recreational vehicles.

D-Mart is north of Jackson near the Interstate 55-Highway 61 intersection.

Carl Talley was honored recently for service on the Cape Girardeau Area Industrial Recruitment Association Board over the past four years.

Talley served as chairman of the board during the past year.

He is the only member to serve the maximum of four one-year terms allowed under the group's bylaws.

Jackson City Administrator Steve Wilson has been named to succeed Talley, a former Jackson city administrator, on the board.

Mary Gaston, Heather Blattel, Shannon Baisden, Laurie White and Stephanie Stockard were recently honored as top producers with the Jana Jateff Unit of Mary Kay Cosmetics.

Gaston was the leader for the quarter with $3,200 in production.

Dr. Gary J. Bridges, a Cape Girardeau chiropractor, recently completed a two-day, 20-hour continuing education seminar at the Harley Hotel at Earth City, Mo.

Topics at the seminar included X-Ray diagnosis and radiology and physical and differential diagnosis.

Bridges, a graduate of Logan College in Chesterfield, is with Accident and Back Care Center, 1301 N. Kingshighway.

Alan L. Schlichting of Perryville, sales manager for Cape GMC Pontiac Inc. in Cape Girardeau, has been named to the Pontiac Master Sales Guild for 1996.

The Guild honors Pontiac salesmen and sales managers for outstanding performances in the areas of sales, products knowledge and customer satisfaction.

Schlichting has been with Cape GMC Pontiac since 1995.

Dr. Robert L. Cox, professor emeritus, Department of Industrial Technology at Southeast Missouri State University, has been installed as president of the Grand Chapter of Iota Lambda Sigma, honorary Industrial Education fraternity, at its annual meeting in Cincinnati.

Cox served as faculty adviser of Alpha Beta, the local chapter of ILS, and on the National Advisory Council. He also served as vice president of the Grand Chapter.

He will lead activities of the Grand Chapter in industrial technology and providing scholarships for industrial students.

Cox will preside over the national meeting in Las Vegas in 1997.

David Herbst of Chaffee has been appointed chairman of the Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee of the Missouri Farm Bureau.

Herbst received his appointment during the farm organization's 82nd annual meeting recently.

Herbst and his wife, Leslie, live on a 3,800-acre farm where they raise corn, soybeans, grain sorghum and wheat. He also has a custom application business which applies lime, fertilizer and herbicides.

Herbst is active in the Scott County Farm Bureau, serving on the county board of directors and chairing the YF&R committee. He is also the county's representative on the Extension Council for Farm Bureau.

Willie Fort of Cape Girardeau was a recent winner of a 21-inch GE color television/VCR during Ameritech's Match `N' Win Second Chance Drawing held at Ameritech Cellular Center in Cape Girardeau.
