Jane Slaten has joined Home Advantage Home Health Care Services, 2525 Boutin Drive, as provider relations specialist.

Slaten of Kelso is a graduate of Notre Dame High School and Southeast Missouri State University. She has more than 14 years of experience in the health care field. Slaten will be working in Cape Girardeau, Scott and Bollinger counties.

Home Advantage is a home health agency that offers a wide variety of services including skilled nursing; speech, physical and occupational therapy; social work; and home health aide services. Home Advantage has been accredited by the Joint Commission of Health Care Organizations.

Theresa Kern has joined ERA Cape Realty, 1409-A N. Mount Auburn Road, as a sales associate.

David S. Glastetter, member broker of the Cape Girardeau real estate company, announced Kern's appointment.

Kern, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, previously worked 11 years with the U.S. Postal Service.

Donna Burk has been named area manager-external affairs for Southwestern Bell in Southeast Missouri.

In her new position, Burk will be responsible for the company's regulatory and government affairs as well as community relations in Cape Girardeau, Dexter, Jackson, Kennett, Malden, Sikeston, Perryville and other communities in Southeast Missouri.

Burk has been with Southwestern Bell for 24 years.

Southwestern Bell last week announced another promotion.

Craig Felzien, who previously worked in the Southeast Missouri area, has been named area manager-external affairs in the St. Charles area and will head the company's government affairs and community relations in St. Charles, Hazelwood, Florissant, St. Peters and O'Fallon. Felzien has been with Southwestern Bell for 18 years.

Leslie Hueter and Mary Gunn of Elite Travel Inc., 354 S. Silver Springs Road, recently attended the Travel Exchange Trade show held at St. Louis.

Travel Products from around the world were displayed.

Hueter is a cruise specialist at Elite Travel. Gunn specializes in travel to Alaska and the South Pacific.

The Crown Cadillac-Oldsmobile-Nissan Service Department has received Cadillac's highest service award.

Dennis Bess, service manager, and John Hente, service adviser, have received the Master Service Adviser Award, presented to Cadillac service managers for "service after the sale." Only 5 percent of the nation's Cadillac service managers receive the award.

Meanwhile, six Crown service department employees have qualified for "Gold" Status."

Bess, Steve Rhodes, Joe Biri, Dave Cherry, Matt Huffman and Dave Huber each scored 98 percent or better on their Cadillac Craftsman League Exams to qualify for the "Gold."

Crown Cadillac-Oldsmobile-Nissan also received Oldsmobile's highest recognition, "Elite" status. Only 226 dealers in the nation achieved this award, presented for all aspects of dealership operations, incuding sales, service and parts. The "Elite" award is based on customer comments.

Donna Domian of Cape Girardeau, a local Edward Jones investment representative, recently attended the company's managing partners conference.

Domian was one of 195 of the firm's more than 3,300 brokers invited to the meeting. Edward Jones invites the top 6 percent of its sales force to the conference.

James Carville, campaign manager for President Bill Clinton during the 1992 campaign, was keynote speaker.
