Gary Lynch has joined Coldwell Banker Hamilton Realty.

Lynch of Cape Girardeau has been licensed in real estate since 1994. He has completed courses in general real estate practice, finance, relocation, buyer representation. He is a multimillion-dollar producer and qualifies for the Summit Level of Achievement from the State of Missouri and the local Association of Realtors for 1997 sales.

Before getting into real estate, Lynch worked for the Cape Girardeau Public Schools and Southeast Missouri State University, as educator, football coach and athletic director.

Mary Eftink Boner has become a partner with the Jackson law firm of Buerkle, Beeson, Ludwig & Jackson, L.C.

Boner, who was raised in Chaffee, attended Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She received her Juris Doctor from Missouri in 1990.

She is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois and has been admitted to practice in the U.S. District for the Eastern District of Missouri and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th District.

The law firm, founded in 1942, by the late Robert M. Buerkle at 709 E. Main St., Jackson, consists of four other partners -- Joe T. Buerkle, David G. Beeson, Thomas A. Ludwig and Michael L. Jackson.

Boner has been associated with the law firm since 1990, concentrating her law practice in the areas of personal injury, family law, business organization, estate planning and probate administration.

Karen Brobeck is new site manager of Alliance Blue Cross Blue Shield's Cape Girardeau office.

Brobeck replaces Pat Lemons, who retired in December.

Brobeck is a 14-year veteran of Alliance Blue Cross and was previously manager for plan performance and quality assurance.

She started with Alliance as the internal audit manager, moving to the position of director of audit and performance. In 1990, she became director of support services and was lately promoted to assistant corporation compliance officer.

Brobeck, who previoulsy worked with Touche Ross & Co. in St. Louis as senior auditor, is a graduate of Illinois State University. She is a certified public accountant and holds a health insurance associate certificate.

Gerald Hitt of Penzel Construction Co. of Jackson has been elected vice president of the Associated General Contractors of Missouri, a Jefferson City-based association representing more than 300 companies.

Penzel Construction has been a member of the association for more than 50 years. Gene Penzel, president of Penzel Construction, served as president of the association in 1980.

Michael E. Uhls has been promoted to senior financial consultant in the Merrill Lynch Cape Girardeau office.

Uhls, who has been in the financial services industry eight years, is a native of Cape Girardeau. He attended Southeast Missouri State University and is a member of the university's booster club. He is also a member of the Capaha Field Improvement Committee.

Merrill Lynch, an investment, financial management and advisory service, has more than 600 offices in the United States.

Ronald A. Herman has been promoted to vice president-general manager for Sabreliner Corp.'s Premier Turbines' Perryville facility.

Herman has more than 25 years experience with the corporation, holding various positions at the Perryville facility, most recently as plant manager.

Herman will report to Bob D. Hanks, group vice president for Sabreliner Corp., Premier Turbine's parent company, and will continue to provide management oversight of the Sabreliner business activity at the Perryville facility.

Premier Turbines overhauls, repairs and restores engines and their components and accessories for the majority of business jets, business helicopters, commuter aircraft and military aircraft. Premier is a part of Sabreline Corp., a diversified aviation service, maintenance and modification firm serving a wide variety of government, military, corporate, airline and cargo aircraft, engines, systems and components through its network of subsidiaries.

The company has annual sales of more than $250 million and employs about 2,000 people at 13 facilities in seven states.

Kenneth E. Volkerding of Jackson has received membership in Lutheran Brotherhood's 1997 Presidents Club. The club is one of Lutheran Brotherhood's most prestigious sales honors, based on sale of insurance and investment products to Lutherans.

Volkerding is associated with the group's Harlan W. Pals Agency in St. Charles.

Lutheran Brotherhood offers a wide range of financial products and services to Lutherans nationwide.

A number of Cape Girardeau Dana Corp.'s Spicer Axle Division employees recently attended a "Financial Planning for Business" class at the Dana Corp. facility at Paris, Tenn.

Attending the class from the local plant were Chuck Thurman, Art Didion, Rick Knight, Denny Furlong and Darrell Heuring.

Discussions included topics on cash flow, working capital, financial ratios and other financial areas.

Anne Heisserer, owner of Talley-Heisserer Chiropractic Clinic, 2911 Beaver Creek Drive, has received her license to perform acupuncture in Missouri.

Heisserer completed 100 hours of acupuncture certification to receive her license.

She is a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic at Chesterfield. She worked at a chiropractic clinic in Nashville, Tenn., prior to returning to Cape Girardeau.

Rainey Mosby and Scott Braden, both of Kennett, and Justin Cunningham of Park Hills have received meritorious safety awards from the Missouri Department of Transportation for heroic efforts in responding to motorists in need.

Mosby, a seasonal maintenance worker, and Braden, a maintenance specialist from the Kennett Maintenance Building, were honored for assistance they provided following a motorcycle accident May 23.

Cunningham, an inspector from the Park Hills office, received the honor for anonymously aiding in the rescue of a woman and her 6-month-old child following an accident June 17.

Chief MoDOT Engineer Joe Mickes presented the awards during a recent awards ceremony at Sikeston, home of the Southeast Missouri District office.

The Meritorious Safety Award is one of the department's highest honors.
