"Overview of Year 2000" is the topic of a seminar to be presented at Southwestern Bell TeleCommunity Center at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff Friday.
Michael Benzen, chief information officer for Missouri State Government, will present the two-hour video conference from 9 to 11 a.m.
Benzen will discuss computer systems and the problems they face in the year 2000. Many computer systems today were created with two-digit fields and will not recognize the year 2000. The solution is to expand the date to four-digit fields.
The TeleCommunity Center provides two-way interactive video technology. Call (573)-778-0000 for additional information and registration for the upcoming seminar.
