School dress codes, violence in movies, video games and other topics will be among the topics of a monthlong survey to be conducted at West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau.
A voting booth will be established at the mall Wednesday and will remain open throughout the month of August, said Jim Govro, general manger of the mall.
"We want to know what is on the minds of area teens and how they feel about a variety of timely topics," said Govro.
A short "ballot" will be available at the booth for youngsters, ages 6 to 18, to cast their vote on a variety of issues.
During the same month, the mall will participate in a national "Back to School" promotion, featuring scratch-off game pieces for the same age group, said Govro. Prizes will include mall gift certificates, featuring one $1,000 grand prize shopping spree.
