ShopKo Stores Inc., headquarters in Green Bay, Wis., has acquired 29,200 shares of its common stock, in open-market transactions, in accordance with the company's previously announced stock repurchase program.ShopKo directors have authorized management in March to repurchase up to $20 million of the company's common stock. Such purchases will be made from time-to-time in the open market. No time limit was placed on the duration of the repurchase program.ShopKo Stores, a Fortune 500 company, operates 313 retail stores in 22 states, including the ShopKo Store in West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau.
