BUSINESS MEMO: 'PEPSI ONE' INTRODUCED

"Pepsi One" was introduced locally last week during a special ceremony held at the Marion, Ill. Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co.

"Pepsi One" is the company's new one-calorie cola, and the first soft drink to contain the new sweetener, "Sunett" -- ACE-K (Acesulfame potassium).

The new brand is being rolled out now, said Harry L. Crisp III, vice president sales and marketing of the Marion bottling company, which distributed Pepsi, 7-Up, Dr. Pepper and other products throughout a wide area, including Southeast Missouri.
