BUSINESS MEMO: PADUCAH GETS DRURY SUITES

Construction is under way on a new Drury Suites hotel at Interstate 24 and U.S. 60 in Paducah, Ky.

The hotel is owned and developed by Drury Southwest Inc., Cape Girardeau, and will be operated by the Drury Inns Inc., headquartered at St. Louis.

The new 144-room hotel will provide 20 to 30 new jobs when it opens in May.

The property will be the fourth Drury-operated hotel at Paducah. Drury Inn, Pear Tree Inn by Drury and Hampton Inn, all operated by Drury Inns Inc., are located at the same intersection.

Drury Inns operates more than 70 Drury Inns, Pear Tree Inns by Drury, Thrifty Inns, Hampton Inns and Holiday Inn Express hotels in 12 states from Colorado to Georgia and from Texas to Michigan.
