Ni-Med, a Farmington health care company, is under new ownership, and will undergo an expansion that will double the size of the company's 40,000-square-foot headquarters and manufacturing facility in Farmington.

Fax Pollnow, president of Arbor Land Co., a St. Louis real estate development company, and Farmington businessman Terry Braxton recently purchased Ni-Mex, which has annual revenues of about $25 million.

Ni-Med manufactures pre-packaged disposable sterilized hospital kits with customized surgical instruments for various medical procedures. The company also makes non-sterile kits, such as hospital admissions and maternity kits.

A Ni-Med manufacturing operation in Park Hills will move to Farmington when the expansion is completed.

Ni-Med employs 170 people in facilities at Farmington, Park Hills, St. Louis, Portland, Ore., Pittsburgh, Pa., and Richmond, Va.
