A Wal-Mart Distribution Center, constructed by Fru-Con Construction Corp. of St. Louis, at Olney, Ill., has more than 800,000 square feet. This is the first time Wal-Mart has awarded a contract for the construction of a food distribution center to a single general contractor.
Fru-Con has a local construction branch and engineers group in Cape Girardeau County, at Route 177 and Route J.
