BUSINESS MEMO: NEW CALL LETTERS

Radio station KMPL in Sikeston is now Radio 1520 KRHW.

The programming will not change, said Rick Lambert, general manager of KMPL-AM and KBXB-FM.

The call letters were changed, said Lambert, to honor Ruth Harrelson Withers, mother of the station's owner, W. Russell Withers Jr.

Mrs. Withers was born in Sikeston and was a lifelong resident in Southeast Missouri. She died June 17.

Withers Broadcasting has owned the stations in Sikeston since April 1996. The company also owns KGMO-FM and KAPE-AM in Cape Girardeau, along with other radio and television stations nationwide.
