The Cape Girardeau Regional Airport was put to a test recently.
It passed.
An FAA Airport Division inspector performed the annual "Part 139 Certification Inspection," the safety standards the FAA uses to insure that all airports that serve air carriers are maintained and operated to the maximum safety criteria.
In the official report and response to the airport, the inspector said the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport was in complete compliance with safety regulations. The inspector was complimentary regarding the condition of the airport.
