Noranda Aluminum of New Madrid recently donated $12,200 to the Southeast Missouri State University Foundation for purchase of new equipment for the university's Department of Industrial Technology.
The university purchased 10 Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) trainers and five copies of Rockwell Automation Software.
Troy Long, supervisor of employment, training and development at Noranda Aluminum, presented the funds to Melanie McDaniel, director of planned giving and endowments at the university and Dr. Randy Shaw, assistant provost at Southeast Missouri State University.
