A group of representatives from the Business and Attraction group of the Missouri Department of Economic Development, visited the Cape Girardeau area recently.

"Every year the group visits to look at potential business sites," said Mitch Robinson, executive director of the Cape Girardeau Area Recruitment Association.

The group toured a number of potential sites, including the 270,000-square-foot Super Valu warehouse at Scott City, which will be available this spring, and the vacated 75,000-square-foot Columbia Sportswear facilities at Chaffee.

Other available structures include the 40,000-square-foot Bunny Bread Building and a 100,000-square-foot building in Cape Girardeau, and a 30,000-square-foot facility at Jackson.
