Dana Corp., headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, has been recognized as a "Most Admired Manufacturer" by Start Magazine, a business publication focused on technology issues.
Dana is one of the world's largest independent suppliers to vehicle manufactures and their related after-markets, with more than 330 major facilities in 32 countries, employing more than 86,000 people, including the Spicer Light Vehicle Axle Division, 2075 Corporate Circle in Cape Girardeau.
"Start" emphasized Dana's strategic objectives and focus on technology, employee involvement and reputation, saying the company was held in worldwide esteem and renown for its style of management and its emphasis on employee participation and input.
Dana has a goal of 40 hours of classroom education a year for its employees.
