The Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center's Recreation and Education Departments recently hosted an award luncheon at the facility to recognize the residents' scholastic and program achievements.
Corporal Rick Schmidt and officer Tom Thompson of the Cape Girardeau Police Department, were special guests for the recognition for honor roll, attitude, best efforts and attendance. Instructors at the center were honored for teaching and guidance.
Cottonwood, located on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University, provides residential treatment services to children ages 6-17 who have emotional and behavioral problems.
