Martha Hamilton has been elected president of the Cape County Board of Realtors. Other officers include Art Blaylock, president-elect; Marta Green, secretary-treasurer; and Bud Leming, director.

Larry McCulley has been elected president of the Cape County Multiple Listing Services. Other officers are Cary Curry, vice president; Jeanne Owens, secretary-treasurer; and Ken Howard, director.

"Taking Control of Diabetes" was the topic of a series of seminars sponsored this month by John's Pharmacy, 2001 Independence.

"November is National Diabetes Month," said pharmacist John McMullin. "We featured a different diabetic specialist at each of three seminars."

Proper foods and diabetic foot care were among topics.

A question-and-answer session was conducted during each of the seminars.

ULLIN, Ill. A deckhand training program is being planned at Shawnee Community College near here.

Applications for the new program will be accepted through Nov. 27 at the college admissions office.
