IAAP chapter celebrates 60th anniversary

The Girardot Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals celebrated its 60th anniversary at Drury Lodge on April 7. The chapter was joined by 2005-2006 IAAP International president Kay Enlow, who gave a presentation called "Lighting the Way to Excellence." Also attending were past members and representatives from several Missouri IAAP chapters. The Girardot Chapter was established as part of the National Secretaries Association in 1946. The NSA became Professional Secretaries International in 1982, and then became the IAAP in 1998. The Girardot Chapter will continue the 60th anniversary celebration with a breakfast on Friday as part of Administrative Professionals Week.

Miracle-Ear names local Platinum Club member

Miracle-Ear Home Office has awarded Platinum Club membership to the local Miracle-Ear franchise. The award distinguishes franchisees that excel in specific market penetration, use of advance hearing instrument technology, consultant training, customer satisfaction and achieving territory goals. Miracle-Ear Center is a division of B&S United Agencies Inc. owned by Ken and Lisa Swinford of Jackson and Joyce Hill Cooley, RN, of Cape Girardeau. Offices are in Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Perryville, Ste. Genevieve and Farmington. The staff includes Joyce Hill Cooley and four other state-licensed consultants. This is the third time in five years for the franchise to receive the recognition.
