Old Town Cape will sponsor a rehabilitation tax credit workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Port Cape Yacht Club. The workshop will be conducted by Mark Miles, director of the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office.
The public is encouraged to attend. It will be a workshop for property owners who have buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places or buildings built before 1936 that are not on the register. Buildings listed on the register are eligible to seek a 20 percent federal rehabilitation tax credits and 25 percent Missouri tax credit. Those who own a building built before 1936 that is not on the register may be eligible for a 10 percent federal tax credit.
