Denny's real estate sold, but restaurant staying

The ownership of the real estate at 161 West Drive in Cape Girardeau was recently transferred from Jomar Investments LC of St. Louis to Amani Investments Inc., a California-based company. The ownership of the Denny's business and the Denny's franchise was retained by Jomar Investments, according to Cynthia Austin of Realty Executives of Cape County. Austin handled the transaction. "The Denny's franchise is doing very well here and plans to stay in the building for many years to come," said Austin. The sales price was not disclosed; however, the property was listed at $1.2 million.
