CAPE GIRARDEAU

Sidewalk Sandwich Co. has opened at 119 Themis downtown. The breakfast and lunch restaurant is owned by Scott Hamann and Andy Baranovic.

Landing Place Airport Restaurant has opened at the airport. The owners are Mike and Judy Bryant.

The Rhodes Group is building a strip mall just south of Schnucks next to Dairy Queen. Construction is expected to by finished by summer.

Jimmy John's at 1800 Broadway has been purchased by Ken Butler of Evansville, Ind., who also owns the Jimmy John's in Carbondale, Ill.

Security Bank & Trust has opened downtown at 325 Broadway. Tom Gilmer is the branch manager of the Scott City-based bank.

Arby's has opened at William and Kingshighway.

K-9 Training Center has moved from Jackson to 423 N. Broadview.

DEXTER

The Hob-Nob Antique Mall has been purchased by Mike and Kellie Reese.

FARMINGTON

The Audiology & Hearing Center has opened at 560 Maple Valley Drive.

Hometown Realty and Galaria Hair Care have relocated to 114 E. Columbia. The owners are Lance and Patti Krause.

New members of the Chamber of Commerce are Braun Electrical Services, Stanly Headwear, Oasis Christian Bookstore & Holygrounds Coffee, Orchard View Apartments, Black Crow Cafe, The Tan Co., Cabinet Masters Kitchen & Bath.

Cross Reference Bookstore and Bakery has opened at 120 N. Washington. The owners are Jami and Shane Williams.

FREDERICKTOWN

A Wal-Mart Supercenter will be built in Madison County. The 107,000-square-foot store will open in early 2005.

JACKSON

Smith and Co., an environmental and engineering business based in Poplar Bluff, has opened an office in Jackson. The manager is Chris Layton.

KELSO

Marvin Wormington Jr., owner of Gardens Edge Nursery here, has bought Bootheel Fence Co. from Chris Kuhn, who now works for Garden Edge. Garden Edge Nursery now does all types of fencing from vinyl to chain link.

KENNETT

New members of the Chamber of Commerce are Ashley's Hair Salon, Dr. Ted Duensing, Magnolia Medical Group, Jackson Appraisal, Goldstar Amusements, Bennett's Pools & Spas.

LEADINGTON

Better Bodies has relocated to 140 E. Woodlawn Drive from Farmington. The owner is Scott Siebert.
