Carol Mazza has joined West Park Mall as director of marketing.

Mazza has been in the Cape Girardeau area for two years and worked in various broadcast production.

Prior to moving to the area, she was media manager for Upton's Department Stores in Atlanta.

Donna Loop has joined Dana Corp.'s Spicer Axle Division in Cape Girardeau as human resource administrator.

Loop, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, with a bachelor's degree in business education and a minor in accounting, previously worked at Spartech Plastics, where she held the position of personnel administrator-executive secretary since September 1980.

Joe Grojean has been named to head Stereo One's new security division.

Stereo One now offers a wide range of security, safety and monitoring options for the residential and business communities.

Grojean had more than five years experience in both residential and commercial security systems.

A home security demonstration facility is on display at Stereo One, 345 S. Kingshighway.

Stereo One also provides complete custom audio and video design, installation and service.,

Jayne Ervin of Jayson Jewelers Ltd., 115 Themis, will attend a special buying session in Antwerp, Belgium, renown as the world's diamond capital.

Jayson Jewelers, a local diamond importer, is a member of the Retail Jewelers Organization, an exclusive international jewelry-buying group.

"The selection of diamonds available to buyers is incredible," said Ervin, who visited the Antwerp sale last year.

Ervin will inspect and select stones directly from master diamond cutters.

Stuart K. Campbell has been named senior vice president-client services of Alliance Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Campbell is responsible for enrollment, claims, customer service and billing operations at the company's Cape Girardeau, Springfield and St. Louis offices.

Campbell, a certified public accountant, joined Alliance Blue Cross Blue Shield as chief internal auditor in 1994.

Gil Degenhardt, of the Southeast Missouri State University Small Business Development Center in Cape Girardeau, will speak at a noon meeting of Women Aware in Poplar Bluff on Sept. 17.

Degenhardt will discuss the topic, "How to Start and Manage Your Own Small Business." The meeting will be at Dumplin's Restaurant.

Stephen L. McClanahan of Charleston has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of the Production Credit Association of Southeast Missouri.

Jim Young of Sedgewickville and Charles Parker of Senath have been re-elected to the Federal Land Bank Association of Southeast Missouri board.

The organizations recently held their annual stockholders meetings at the Ramada Inn in Sikeston.

The PCA and FLBA each serve more than 1,000 shareholders in Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Butler, Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Scott and Stoddard counties.

William J. Withers Sr. has been appointed general manager for PCS networks in the state of Alabama and northwest Florida by BellSouth Mobility.

Withers, a Cape Girardeau native and graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, joined BellSouth in 1990 as a retail marketing specialist. He has served as director of sales-marketing-public relations during the past three years. He will be responsible for operations in the Montgomery, Auburn, Enterprise and Gasden areas of Alabama and the Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach areas in Florida.

He started his career as program director for radio station KGMO in Cape Girardeau and was a former owner of W.J. Withers Communications in Cape Girardeau and Mobile, Ala., for 10 years.

BellSouth Cellular Corp. operated Bell South Mobility and provides wireless communications service to more than 4 million customers in 200 markets.

Patrick Carron, interim administrator at Perry County Memorial Hospital at Perryville, has completed requirements of the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrator Licensure.

Carron had to complete state and national examinations to obtain licensure. He must clock 20 hours of approved continuing education dealing with regulations and standards in long-term care management annually to maintain the licnesure.
