POPLAR BLUFF -- The Three Rivers Healthcare Ambulatory Infusion Center has moved to the Same Day Surgery Department at the south hospital at 621 West Pine St.
The center provides outpatient infusion and injection services seven days a week to patients who need nurse-administered medication but are not ill enough for hospitalization or to qualify for home health services.
The Ambulatory Infusion Center was located in the Tinsley Medical Clinic. Now that it has moved, patients no longer need to go to the Emergency Room or the Critical Care Unit for intravenous therapy.
Patient infusion service available at the center include anti-infective therapies, hydration therapy, blood and platelets and port-a-cath flushes. Nursing services include PICC line insertion, medication, education, monitoring and trouble-shooting central venous catheters.
