Stranded tourists find good help, new Cape friend

To the editor:

Recently we were traveling through your state and experienced a transmission breakdown with our motor home. We were towed to Precision Transmission in Cape Girardeau. We were concerned about getting back to Wisconsin within our vacation time frame as well as being placed in the hands of a total stranger for repair work.

However, Gary Via, manager of Precision Transmission, and his staff were efficient, reliable and honest. Gary handled the transaction with the insurance company and was able to complete a difficult and unusual repair job within the necessary time frame. We drove away feeling our motor home had been properly fixed and we could return home safely.

Gary Via is no longer a stranger, but a friend. We feel Cape Girardeau is fortunate to have such a competent and honest businessman.
