LETERS: CANDIDATE CLARIFIES SUPPORT FOR CAMPUS

To the editor.

I thank the Missourian and Laura Johnston for the excellent news story written from the background and comments I delivered announcing my candidacy for the Cape Girardeau City Council from Ward 4.

Because of space limitations, you were not able to print my entire paragraph announcing I support the River Campus project. It read: "I feel we sometimes fail to recognized and appreciation the significant growth of construction and jobs in Cape Girardeau created by the Drury interests. Having said that, and knowing the objections of Mr. Jim Drury to the SEMO University River Campus project, I do strongly support the River Campus project."I felt the context important to getting started on a more positive foundation as I take the first step in what could lead to a four-year term on the City Council.
