LETTERS: NO ADDRESSES MEANS PROBLEMS FOR OTHERS TOO

To the editor:

Bravo for your front-page article Jan. 8, "Location, location, location important in crises."

I travel 20 counties in Southeast Missouri for a company that makes real-estate inspections and surveys for many of the major insurance companies. Since most of my territory is rural, I have all the difficulty in finding my assignments as your article mentions. Every day I wonder what would happen to these people in the case of a medical emergency or a fire.

In my opinion based on my travels, there are at least 70 percent of mailboxes and private roads that are not properly marked. In some counties, the county road signs are missing and have been for several years. How sad this is in case the golden hour is needed by any of these people.
