GETTING AUTO LICENSES IS DOUBLY BETTER, THANKS BOTH TO NEW LAW AND BETTER SERVICE

A new law in Missouri lets some automobile owners purchase license plates every two years instead of every year. This is touted as a convenience for motorists who dread standing in line at the license bureau every year and going through the hassle of getting an inspection and trying to find the receipt showing personal-property taxes have been paid.

There's good news. And there's more good news. Many motorists will welcome the every-other-year licensing procedure. And anyone who has done business at the Cape Girardeau license office will have noticed a tremendous improvement in service. Lines move quickly, and clerks handle their chores efficiently.
