'Life Without' video showing, panel tonight

Tonight, Southeast Missouri State University will host a video showing of the Southeast Missourian's "Life Without" series and a panel discussion on the questionable conviction of Sikeston native David Robinson.

Robinson is serving a life sentence for the murder of Sheila Box in 2000. He's served 16 years despite two witnesses recanting and another man confessing to the murder. Recently, the Missouri Supreme Court appointed a judge to study the evidence in the case and make a recommendation to the court. You can read more about the case at semissourian.com/lifewithout.

Video produced by the Southeast Missourian detailing the case will be shown at Academic Hall at 7 p.m. tonight. A panel discussion with Robinson lawyer Jim Wyrsch, Southeast Missouri State assistant professor Dr. Raleigh Blasdell, Southeast Missourian editor Bob Miller and exoneree Josh Kezer will follow. Southeast associate professor of mass media, Dr. Tamara Zellars Buck, will moderate.

We encourage you to attend and learn more about this fascinating case.
