Engaged citizenry

My primary effort is to save our children and grandchildren from being enslaved to the debts by the current generation of Legislators and Citizens. All levels of government are spending Federal money; the fire board, school board, city council, county commission and the state legislature. All levels of government are responsible for forcing our offspring to work daily to pay for the out-of-control spending of today.

Who holds the power? Within the first few sections of Article One in the constitutions of every state in the Union, our predecessors knew and put into words, who really holds the power to control our government. Our Missouri State Constitution Art. 1, Sec. 1 states, "That all political power is vested in and derived from the people; that all government of right originates from the people, is founded upon their will only, and is instituted solely for the good of the whole."

Civic responsibility and authority is the right and power to hold elected officials accountable to the social contract, which is The Constitutions of the United States and of Our state.

We were never meant to simply elect someone, send them off to city hall, Jeff City or Washington and expect they will do what's best for society. Men are corruptible and will be corrupted if they are not held accountable.

Thomas Jefferson said, "Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories."

The fulcrum will not be balanced until the resident stays engaged.
