Shame and woe to those who ignore Scriptures

To the editor:

In answer to those who have written to the Southeast Missourian stating that the Bible does not forbid homosexuality, I would say that such people don't know their Bible.

In his writings which were also inspired by God, St. Paul names a long list of sins, including homosexuality. "They that do these things shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven."

Of people who deny such acts as sin, the Lord Jesus would say, "You don't know the Scriptures. Therefore, you do greatly err."

It was because of the above-mentioned sins that God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.

God ordained that one man and one woman are to be joined together in holy marriage. Shame and woe to pastors who mislead their flocks. Shame on those who contradict Holy Scripture and say those Christians who stand up against sin and for what is right are narrow-minded.

The warning word is to all who have permitted themselves to be misled: Repent, repent, repent before God's judgment is passed out on us as a nation.
