Green and Mabel Maevers were married Oct. 10, 1941.

The couple has a son, James Green Jr. of Cape Girardeau; two granddaughters, Pamela Myers, Tori Pobst of Oran, Mo.; four great-grandchildren, Jimmy Griffaw and Clayton Myers of Cape Girardeau, Jami and Jayden Pobst of Oran.
