Correction

n The following quote in Tuesday's Southeast Missourian about the newspaper's mistaken identity of East Cape Girardeau's mayor should have been attributed to current mayor Al Blumenberg: "I've had plenty of phone calls all day asking if I was still mayor." In the original story on former Mayor Joe Aden's retirement, the story should have stated that James Bartleson was the mayor who became ill and preceded Aden's 32-year service.
