Behring and Dotty Ahner were married June 17, 1972, at Christ Lutheran Church in Jacob, Ill.

They have two daughters, Kim Behring and Sandy (Eddie) Lowrey of Cape Girardeau. They have a grandchild, Madison Lowrey.
