He was born Dec. 19, 1955, at Sikeston, son of Lee and Marilyn Bayless Hails.

Hails was a 1974 graduate of Central High School. He was an artist and had lived in Denver eight years.
Survivors include his parents of Park Hills; two sisters, Stacey Mayberry of Jackson, Jo Duff of Cape Girardeau, and a brother, Keith Hails of Kansas City.
A memorial service will be held in Denver.
