CAIRO, Ill. -- Richard L. Murphy, 92, of Metropolis, Illinois, formerly of Cairo, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Metropolis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. He was a World War II Army veteran. Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois.
