Jewel Armstrong James, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Feb. 19, 1921, at Courtland, Miss.
James moved from Hayti, Mo., to Cape Girardeau in 1997. She was a volunteer at the Salvation Army's "Meals With Friends."
Survivors include a sister, Lucy Diggs.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home, with Cecil B. Thomas officiating.
Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
