Godwin, 95, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Sikeston Health Care.
He was born Dec. 15, 1901, in Tennessee, son of John Thomas and Alza Fields Godwin.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Godwin of Olympia, Wash., J.R. Godwin of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a grandson.
