WOMAN INJURED IN ACCIDENT SATURDAY

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- A Jackson woman was injured in an accident Saturday morning on Highway 177 south of Fruitland, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.

The woman, Brenda Weston, 28, received minor injuries in the accident and was taken to St. Francis Medical Center for treatment, said the patrol.

The accident occurred at 6:30 a.m. as Weston turned from a mobile-home park driveway into the path of a pickup truck driven south by Michael Smith, 25, of Scott City.
