WOMAN HURT IN ACCIDENT

JACKSON -- A Jackson woman was injured Monday in a two-vehicle accident on North Kingshighway near the Interstate 55 intersection.

Cape Girardeau Police said Virginia Paul, 73, pulled into the path of a southbound car driven by Joseph Danridge, 22, of Cape Girardeau.

Danridge was not injured. Paul was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center where she was treated and released, police said.

The accident occurred at 2:45 p.m. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, police said.
