Woman dead after Scott County fire

MINER, Mo. - A woman died as the result of a fire Tuesday morning at her home, the Sikeston Standard Democrat reported.

Scott County Coroner Scott Amick said Donna J. Gerhardt, 47, was pronounced dead at Missouri Delta Medical Center at 8:43 a.m. Tuesday.

According to Amick, firefighters were able to remove Garhardt from her residence at 808 David Lane. Emergency personnel then attempted to stabilize Garhardt at the scene before transporting her to Missouri Delta Medical Center.
